My background includes plant genetics and agri-economics /marketing with a degree from the University of Guelph and relevant biotech and food processing industry experience.   I’m an expert on legislation and government standards affecting the cannabis industry, including Government of Canada ACMPR requirements, Natural Health Products (NHP) regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards.

I bring a unique perspective to the discussion with hard-earned political acumen gained through years of experience playing senior roles in the private, public, not-for-profit and political sectors.  I’m a former MPP candidate and served as a political advisor to the Ontario Ministers of Economic Development & Trade and the Minister of Northern Development & Mines.

In the community, I’m an advocate for youth opportunity and education, having served on the Boards and Committees of Women’s Habitat and The Rotary Club of Parkdale-High Park. I support the Squamish Food Bank and the PACT program, dedicated to working with, supporting and empowering at-risk young people.
